1. Ze is Methodist. Als kind was ze actief kerklid: ze ruimde boel op.
2. Ze had altijd een bijbel bij zich.
3. Bidden helpt, vindt ze.
4. Ze is niet altijd even handig in het uiten van haar religieuze opvattingen.
5. Ze is nog altijd actief bij de vrouwen-Methodisten.
Ze maakte ook een keer een religieus grapje:
“Prayer matters," Clinton joked at the Faith Forum that sometimes her plea is: “Oh, Lord, why can’t you help me lose weight?” But her daily habit, she said, is praying, “for discernment, for wisdom, for strength, for courage …."

"And I took that very seriously and have tried, tried to be guided in my own life ever since as an advocate for children and families, for women and men around the world who are oppressed and persecuted, denied their human rights and human dignity."
